NHS 111

If you are not feeling well and cannot wait until the surgery opens, please called NHS 111 and they can give you advise about what sort of care you may require. The NHS 111 services is staffed by fully trained advisors, supported by experienced practitioners. They are able to organise an emergency appointment or ambulance for you if this is appropriate.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.

When To Use It

You should use the NHS 111 service if you require urgent medical help but it is not a life threatening situation.  Call 111 if:

  • You require swift medical assistance but it is not a 999 emergency.
  • You think you may need to visit A&E or require another NHS lead urgent care service.
  • You  are not able to call a GP and/or do not know who to contact.
  • You  require health information or reassurance about the next step.

Where’s my nearest Out of Hours and Walk-in Centre?

There are currently no GP based walk-in centres. You must call 111 to be booked an appointment at your nearest GP access centre in Harrow.
